OfficeGuns laser-guided Super Maul Posted by Picasa

Keep your co-workers on their toes

Weapons of Mass Distraction fashioned from everyday office supplies. While most are designed to annoy, the Super Maul (shown above) can put a pencil through a soft drink can. OfficeGuns is the creation of Norwegian weapons systems software engineers (who note in their FAQ that there is no Norwegian word for the English word "shame"). Bleacheatingfreaks sponsored the Office Bricolage 2 Contest last Fall. Not up to MacGyvering your weapon? For (non)traditional and multi-shot rubber band guns (RBGs) there's always Rubberbandguns, Backyard Artillery, and Rubberbandtoys; but the apparent winner of the battle of the bands is the highly recommended Australian Firewheel Rubber Band Gun.

All your base are belong to us

If you've been surfing the net any time since 2001 you've seen the phrase "All your base are belong to us". A Google search for it will get you 211,000 hits, even "AYBABTU" will get you 12,700. The famous "engrish" mistranslation came from a European release of Zero Wing for Sega. From there it memed itself into internet ubiquity and an oft used battle cry in many multi-player video games. Wikipedia has the lowdown and Planet Tribes has the classic flash animation.

Unsupported, temporary array exhaustion

Actually I'm off to the Delmarva beach, but I'm late this week so Jaco Strauss' Tech Support Excuse Generator says I should plead "Unsupported, temporary array exhaustion". So be it. The Google search link below for "excuse generator" yielded 14,500 hits. Obfuscate away.
