Smithsonian Magazine ran an article last month about pre-Frosty exploitation entitled "Snowman Gone Wild". The author has also penned a book "The History of the Snowman" and runs a website called Today's Snowman. Some of the article illustrations may have come from the Guinness World Record largest snowmen collection (3,000 and counting).
